Meet Kayla Morris of Pretty Ladies Unique Shapes/Motivating Young Girls in Northside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Morris.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
While being at Prairie View, I was able to be a Co-Founder of an amazing and encouraging organization of PLUS which stands for Pretty Ladies Unique Shapes. Which is a body positivity women’s empowerment organization helping women learn the true definition of self-love and self-worth. This leads me to start my non-profit recently for young girls between the ages of 13-21 because I have a true passion for helping women feel good about themselves and teaching them how to live their lives unapologetically.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not always been easy because you have your flaws just like everyone else but the main key is being able to accept your flaws and embrace them.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pretty Ladies Unique Shapes/Motivating Young Girls – what should we know?
Since I’m no longer at Prairie View, PLUS has been pasted down. But my nonprofit is up and going. Motivating Young Girls is a non-profit organization movement for young women ages 13-21 with the goal of helping them understand their true worth, self-love and to help become ambitious while building their confidence and helping them develop leadership skills. What makes me most proud is that God gave me the ability to be able to motivate, encourage, inspire and empower and I’m just overall blessed with this talent he has blessed me with. What’s sets apart from others is my purpose, I feel as though this one of my many purposes on this earth is to be able to help women and men just love who they are all around.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My qualities I feel as though is the most important to my success is my confidence. When I walk in the room, I own it. I’m firm in who I am, I love to look good and I’m such a social person. I believe in meeting no strangers. My leadership as well, any last given I will take it on. I love helping people.
