Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Swanson.
Monae’s Closet was founded in 2019 by multi-business owner Kayla Swanson. Her passion for fashion was discovered as a young girl playing dress-up and strutting around the house in mom’s high heels. But Swanson’s case was no typical scenario. She later grew up to pursue her dreams of fashion with modeling as a high school student, and later took fashion merchandising courses in college. Swanson eventually fulfilled another passion by opening her first business,”K & L Interior Decorating”, However, she was soon taken by her true passion and launched her second business, “Monae’s Closet” which she expects great success and prosperity since fashion is essentially her first love!
Has it been a smooth road?
I struggled with developing my true passion since I was a little girl. In high school, I did fashion modeling and perused a fashion design degree after graduating, but neither of those routes fulfilled me. I then open my own interior decorating business but soon realized it didn’t fulfill me either. So I launched my current online boutique while raising two beautiful daughters and mourning the loss of my mother. I finally discovered that retail is my therapy and true passion!

I am an affordable online store that sells the latest trends! I specialize in making women feel beautiful at a great price! I’m most proud of my business growing rapidly it started off as just a dream that prospered into a reality! What sets us apart is we believe in delivering the best quality at affordable prices we’re also big on great customer service.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Currently, we’re online but we have aspirations to expand nationwide!
