Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelly Thackeray.
Kelly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Photography has always interested me. I have had a camera in my hand back to my childhood. A few years ago, I started hiking, and of course photographing as I hiked. I received positive feedback from family and friends. I didn’t get serious about photography beyond a hobby until we lost my daughter. It is and was something that affected my family and I beyond words. Photography has slowly become a very important outlet for dealing with my grief. I started my business about a year ago. I am always looking for the next great shot. I have entered several competitions with positive feedback in each.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting serious with my photography meant getting serious about my equipment. The technical aspects of photography can be overwhelming. I have spent a considerable amount of time studying to perfect my craft Starting my business, Just TK brought about a new list of things I had to research and implement. The journey has been challenging and rewarding.

Just TK is my personal gallery of photographic art. Recently I have had the opportunity to delve into portraits and even my first wedding shoot. There are several avenues you can take with photography and each day seems to bring about a new challenge.
