Meet Kelsey Le of Kelsey Le Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Le.

Hi Kelsey, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My photography journey started when I was young. I’ve always loved taking photos and capturing everything I could. I started by photographing family and friends, then transitioned into automotive photography when I got older. I was able to combine my love for cars and photography and challenge myself in new ways. Everything changed when I got onto the track at a drift event. I was able to get extremely close to the cars for the best photos and that’s where my business took off. It’s an adrenaline rush to photograph cars that are flying by at 60mph and higher. It’s also a male dominated field but I never let that hold me back. Right now I’m often the only female photographer on track at Texas events so I hope I can inspire women reading this to get out there and photograph in this amazing industry.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Thankfully it’s been a very smooth road so far. I’ve had amazing support and that has helped me grow in ways I never thought possible. I found that the automotive industry is extremely welcoming and encouraging. In the journey ahead, my goals are to shoot for Formula Drift and start selling prints. I am excited for what the future holds.

As you know, we’re big fans of Kelsey Le Photography. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Photography is more than just a business for me. It’s an opportunity to capture something amazing and freeze a moment in time. Whenever I see someone’s excitement about my photos, it is the ultimate accomplishment and satisfaction for me. That’s what keeps me going.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
My favorite childhood photography moment was when my mom, brother and I traveled to Europe and I brought my new camera. I took photos of the Swiss Alps and geese in Lucerne, the streets and boats in the Netherlands, and Belgian waffles in Brussels. I loved seeing my mom’s excitement when I showed her the photos. In the future, I hope photography will take me to new places and allow me to travel more.
