Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelvin ‘K-Mac’ McGowan.
Kelvin can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up, I have always had the energy of God surrounding me. Even when I lost my way, God was there for me and brought me through alongside my family and friends who saw I needed a little bit more encouragement. The entrepreneurial spirit has always been apart of me. I live for the grind, helping me, spreading a positive message and providing for my beautiful family.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road for me has been tough, but, how would I fulfill my purpose if it was easy? We have to go through something to get to ‘something’. Owning a growing multi-faceted company takes patience, passion and God.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Colorblind USA, Inc. story. Tell us more about the business.
God gave it to me. Colorblind USA, Inc. has been in the works since 1998, but in 2012, my company began to flourish into several entities leading me to accomplish some of my wildest dreams. We now have Manufacturing, Apparel, Music, and Video Gaming Design. From the streets of no hope to becoming an example of what holding on to your faith looks like gives me a new level of discernment in all that I do.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In 5-10 years, Colorblind, Inc. will have storefront, an office building housing those who support the many variables of my company, a manufacturing warehouse in USA and globally recognized success. One People, One God is our motto. We want to make sure the message behind all that we do represents the many different cultures, from Mexico to England.
