Meet Kimberli Hutchins of Arden Grey Fashion Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberli Hutchins.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kimberli. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I began this journey nearly four years ago. By trade, I began as a teacher. Many days I would come home tired, juggling several bags, and the same question I would get from my husband at the end of every workday, “Why do you have so many bags?”I would bring home papers hoping that they would get the attention they so desperately needed, but to no avail, my eyes would slowly clasp shut like a flytrap awaiting the succulent taste of its prey out of fatigue.

Long story short, something within me began to arise within. It was like the beaconing call that I could no longer ignore. So one day, I will never forget, walking in my living room, I fell to my knees and asked God to bless my hands and my creativity. Creativity it was, but I did not know what direction to go in. I tried several gimmicks that failed, but I can say, God did answer me.

I am a self-taught designer who dreams daily of the promise of God to be fulfilled in my life and through the many women God allows me to encounter. There have been good days, slow weeks turned months, but more days that have come bringing inspiration and encouragement. My dream is to inspire many women and remind them that we are made in the image of God and in His splendor and majesty.

Although I currently reside in the DFW area with my loving husband, Brandon, and my daughter, Arden, in which my business is named after, I hope to trace back to my origins near Houston to open a boutique and manage a second location from the DFW area.

Currently, I am looking for investors who connect to my story and want to help spread my message through my clothing all over the world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
With any business, there are going to be good days as well as the bad. One of my favorite quotes is from Orison Swett Marden in which he successfully pinned.

“Success is not measured by what you accomplish, but by the opposition you have encountered, and the courage with which you have maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds.”

The biggest struggle thus far is maintaining time with family amid pursuing a business, but the key I have found to counter this is successful management of time. Without it, failure is evident.

Arden Grey Fashion Boutique – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Arden Grey Fashion Boutique is exclusively geared towards the modern woman. I specialize in the glamour of custom gowns but am not opposed to the street style of modernized bombers and harem pants with an edge.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
As stated earlier, success is not measured by what you accomplish, but basically how one gracefully overcomes obstacles and gleans from failures that push to be better than before. This is my creed.
