Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimberly Crooks.
Kimberly, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I graduated from my university in May of 2018 with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. I started out interning and decided that my passion was more aligned with social media and digital branding. I now work as a social media manager and also started my business Chill Mary, which launched in late January of 2020. Chill Mary strives to enhance your daily wellness, prioritize mental health and encourage sustainable self-care by providing CBD products curated through the lens of young millennials.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No one tells you how hard it’s going to be after you leave college, especially with a “creative” degree in public relations and the marketing field. There’s been a lot of rejections from corporate America and there probably will be many more to come, but it’s all about perseverance and believing in your dreams.

Chill Mary was founded because I found myself dealing with ongoing anxiety and panic attacks after many stressful years of studies. My company was ultimately born when I noticed a lack of aesthetically pleasing CBD products that my peers could reach for on the go. At Chill Mary, we believe in thoughtful design and hope to expand the view of CBD products by bringing a fresh and lively look to this amazing ingredient. Chill Mary is inspired by my busy lifestyle as a young professional because we believe that we all should strive for mind + body wellness, wherever you are in your journey. I hope you’ll be excited to use Chill Mary on the go, in your nightly routine or while you’re winding down from your daily stresses.
