Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilli-Anne Price.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I discovered I had talent @ 40 years of age inspired by my horses touched by the light in the landscape surrounding my home in the Steinbeck hills of Monterey California. 16 years later I have a successful art career. A passion ignited by a passion leads the path to success.
Please tell us about your art.
I am a Plein Air and studio painter. Oil paint and a palette knife is my way of conveying what I see. My work is impressionistic bordering in abstraction. After I render what I see in bold shapes and color, I deconstruct the painting adding texture and angst. I always take huge risks to convey energy and emotion in my work.
I get bored easily so I like to challenge myself continuously to keep life interesting…this is no dress rehearsal.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I define success by finding your own unique style in the art world. Always see the world through fresh eyes by constantly changing the view.
