Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisa Reyes.
Lisa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I originally had the idea back in late 2000, much more primitive back then though. Then I kinda let life get in the way and kept putting the idea off. When our boys were getting to college age, I knew I need a plan to help make their dreams a reality, so I dove in head first! #1 goal was to make a little extra income for our family, and 2nd was to bring Joy to others! I prepped and planned and set up my first official sign in September on 2019, I was moving right along building my small business, and then COVID-19 happened, and things propelled into overdrive! These Lawn Letters are my passion, my creative outlet, and most importantly we deliver smiles in the process, so you can’t beat that! I’ve always said, “the smile is the sunshine of your soul” I believe that and want to do my part to make this world a little brighter. Since opening, my sister Teresa has opened up a Lawn Letters of Texas in San Antonio, and my niece Tori started Lawn Letters of California. We’ve made it a family affair to bounce ideas off each other and support one another.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a smooth road for the most part, of course when you work a full time job and have too often work 18 hour days, seven days a week, it is sometimes hard to find that work personal life balance. I’m a mom, my kids and my husband are my motivation, and sometimes there just isn’t enough hours in the day.

Lawn Letters are vibrant signs rented to celebrate all occasions from Birthdays, Graduations, Anniversaries, Church, School, and/or Corporate events and beyond. You tell us what you are looking for, and we will spell out your special shout out using individual letters and/or numbers. We do our very best to make each display personalized, including details the person is interested in. Our Lawn Letter displays can be set up in any grassy area for your viewing pleasure!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I live in a great community; I wouldn’t change a thing! When I started, I had a handful of other businesses like mine in the area, after the COVID Boom that has doubled in three months. There is room for everyone, I’m willing to help other like companies where I can, hey you never know when you might be short a letter!
