Meet Liz Jacobs of Heirloom Wellness in League City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Jacobs.

Liz, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a Registered Dietitian with over ten years of experience, I’ve always been very cognizant of what goes IN our bodies. When I started paying attention to what was hidden in products we used ON our bodies everyday I was shocked. I knew I had to do better for my family. We started using essential oils and switching toxic products out of our home. Family and friends started asking questions so I began educating people whenever and however I could and became a distributor for Young Living essential oils.

In 2017, we created our company, Heirloom Wellness. A passion for helping others turned into my full-time work from home job and allowed me to quit my hospital job to stay home with our three small children.

I love sharing this passion with others and helping to change their lives. Essential oils, CBD oil and organic elderberry syrup are just a few of the goods I provide. My days now look very different from my hospital days, but they are still full of helping others achieve wellness. I am constantly creating educational content and wellness plans for my customers. I am so thankful for this opportunity and absolutely LOVE what I do!

Has it been a smooth road?
Juggling working from home with three kiddos (6, 4 and almost 2) is definitely a challenge. Working from home is also extremely difficult because I get sidetracked very easily with housework or providing snacks 🙂 As much as I try to be organized, someone always needs something, so balance has been difficult for sure.

I will say though that I could not do this without my incredibly supportive husband. He and I make an excellent team! He takes care of the kids on the evenings when I need to teach classes, develop content or create products. This job would be impossible without his support.

I also try to involve our kids as much as possible. I think it’s super important for them to know that I work hard even though I work at home. They help me prepare content to teach classes and oftentimes appear in my videos. They also love to help me prepare roller blends for customers or elderberry syrup!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Heirloom Wellness – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
As our name implies we stand for wellness. I want to empower families to take control of their health. I am always creating essential oil rollers and diffuser blends to meet the needs of my customers. When I make my elderberry syrup, I think about all the families that will benefit from it. I pray for them and pray that it will help keep them well.

It’s no secret that consumers can buy wellness products basically anywhere these days. What sets me apart is my customer service. I am well known in our area for my personal touch. I am always available to answer questions and support my customers however I can. I have been very blessed to have had extensive training from Young Living to provide me with all the tools needed for me to succeed in the wellness industry. I have visited one of our farms twice, met our farmers and planted the very plants that are distilled to make our oils! Just incredible!

I am most proud of my word of mouth referrals. I am always getting new customers from my friends sharing my information with others. That is the best compliment I could ever receive!

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how although Houston is large, this world is still very small. I am constantly making connections with people and then realize we have mutual friends. That is truly the coolest thing to me!

I just wish it was easier to get around town! It can easily take an hour to deliver goods just a few miles down the road. Thankfully my kiddos are always excited about helping me work so they are happy to tag along!
