Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Rogers Alvarado.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Liz. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a proud “born on the island” Galvestonian and have been creating and connecting for as long as I can remember. After graduation from Texas A&M University, I “went west” and worked in marketing for the largest horse breed organization in the world. While the industries have ranged from agriculture to hospitality to municipal government, the passion for me has always remained the same: I LOVE connecting people to solutions and watching businesses grow.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t believe in accidents – I firmly believe that every path for me has been intentional, no matter how heartbreaking or challenging. I raise my coffee mug to all the mountains I’ve climbed in my career because they led me to this exact place!
Five & Two Marketing – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
There are so many resources for businesses and organizations out there – but finding the right ones and learning how to use them can be challenging. Many businesses don’t have time to wade through social media, ad opportunities, and analytics.
My goal with Five & Two is to teach and share ways to grow your business through marketing and advertising and to provide options for those who don’t have time to do it on their own.
I am blessed with two incredibly hard-working, entrepreneurial parents who never put limits on my goals and dreams. That passion for small business and relentless work ethic has carried through to Five & Two. My goal is to magnify small business services and products to accomplish great successes!
I have no hidden talents – believe me, I would never hide a talent! Connecting people is one of my specialties, however, and I LOVE creating beautiful things. Five & Two Marketing provides graphic design, website design, and social media curation solutions for small (and not-so-small!) businesses.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is defined for me when I’m using my talents and what I have to offer. I want to actively use my gifts and I want my work to be meaningful. Part of my “why” is bringing others up alongside me and it’s truly one of the most rewarding parts of my job.
