Hi Logan, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Hello, My name is Logan Lopez. I am the owner & founder of Perfect 10 Beauty Bar & Academy, Houston’s premier cosmetic tattoo studio & training academy.
I established my beauty business in 2016 out of a small 100-square-foot room and a dream of hopefully making this passion of mine, my full-time carer. Fast forward to 6 years later, and I am blessed to say that I have built a six-figure beauty business, all from taking a chance & believing in myself.
I discovered microblading and the permanent makeup industry after years of struggling with my own light, sparse eyebrows. I was on the search for something to help guide me to determine the right brow shape that I naturally lacked. Then I discovered Microblading, a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo! So, I had my brows microbladed! I left my first appointment in tears! I instantly felt an overabundant feeling of self-confidence. I felt like these were the eyebrows that I was meant to have, and I wanted to share that feeling with the world. Almost instantly, I had my sights set on transforming the faces of men and women to give them the same feeling of confidence as I had when I left my first appointment. And it just so happened that this treatment was also highly profitable! So, a few weeks later, I quit my unsatisfying job and decided to dive head first into building my own beauty business.
Flash forward to 6 years later … and I have grown my beauty business from a small side hustle into a money-making machine. I have a very talented team of permanent makeup artist beside me helping transform the faces and confidence of people in our community. It is truly such a great feeling.
After seeing how life-changing this industry was for me, I knew I needed to share my knowledge with others who are in a similar position as I once was. Helping others completely change the direction of their lives is absolutely one of the most rewarding feelings. My passion is now geared towards education and helping others start and scale their own beauty business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To say it has been an easy journey, is far from the truth. I started my business with zero education in marketing, finances, legalities, scaling a business etc. Every aspect of my business, from the inside out, has been a huge learning curve for me. I am truly self-made, and for that, I am proud.
It also goes to show that it can be possible for anyone. No matter where you’re at in your life, your background, your education, etc. Anything is possible if you want it bad enough.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
For years, I struggled to find a job or career that I was passionate about. After many dead ends jobs, doing work that left me unfulfilled, and working hard for someone else’s dream, I felt defeated and didn’t know what to do or where to turn. I knew I wanted to find a career where I helped others and where I was able to showcase my artistic skills. I wanted to ditch the traditional 9-5 grind, make my own schedule, do something that I was passionate about, and also make a fairly good income. It honestly seemed like an unrealistic dream.
Until I discovered the permanent makeup industry. I scaled my business from $100/month, to over 30K / month! I am proof that with a little hard work and determination, this industry can be life-changing. And I love sharing my knowledge about this industry with anyone wanting to learn more.
Perfect 10 Academy is our training & education center where we train another aspiring artist’s how to start and scale their permanent makeup business. So they, too, can build beautiful, fulfilling lives! With no cap on their income, no boss micromanaging them, while making their own schedule, and helping to boost the confidence of every person that steps into their business.
