Luba, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We’ve been in the business of selling evening wear dresses for 12 years, and so after a while, we decided it was time to finally pursue opening up a storefront that specializes in unique bridal dresses. There’s something about making a bride feel beautiful her special day that’s very close to our hearts, being part of that process is really what makes us want to do what we do. We were also always fond of the boho fashion/style and wanted to center our dresses around it, particularly in the Houston area as we realized there were not many bridal stores that offered such styles and one of a kind designs that we were interested in. As our business is expanding we do notice that our customers appreciate the unique selection we have to offer.

Has it been a smooth road?
There always is some risk in wanting to bring something out of the ordinary into the market. There’s a choice to choose something more conventional in look and in brand over something a little uncommon and not widely known. So far our risks have been worth it! Then, of course, there are things like promotion, where it’s all up to us keeping constantly updated with social media and making sure we’re putting the best face forward.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Milena’s Bridal – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
From the get go we always wanted to bring forth the artistry in bridal design. To elaborate on that, we pick dresses and brands that really impress us and we find to be beautiful, we love innovative and one of a kind designs. One of our big focuses is the selection of bridal brands we offer in the store. We picked brands that are genuinely quality oriented. We work very closely with our brands throughout the dress making process to make sure things are up to par with the bride’s expectations and specifications. All the dresses are made by small teams in Europe, with materials being locally sourced. We’re always constantly looking at new brands to add to our collection, for a wider selection. At Milena’s Bridal we also understand that everyone is built differently, we don’t fully rely on standard sizes. There’s more to the body than just a singular dress size, so we make sure to really measure every one of our soon to be brides for the best fit possible. Overall, it’s all about individualized attention, love of beauty, and consistent quality.
