Lyndsey, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a young woman battling with sensitive skin and razor bumps as symptoms of my PCOS and seeing many of my friends and family dealing with the same thing, I got frustrated that there were no products on the market to solve this problem. I started working in a medical spa and became a licensed medical aesthetics practitioner and began to formulate products to solve the razor bump issues and 3 years later in November 2016 after winning the Houston lift off competition Camellia Alise was launched! 1 year after launching I opened the Make Her boutique with 2 other amazing female entrepreneurs and opened a spa in the same location to expand the products and services needed to help heal and enhance my clients radiance both inside and out!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely has not been a smooth road, it has been difficult to find a high-quality natural manufacturer to reproduce my formulas which can be complex.
It has also been a lot of trial and error to find the right marketing to help grow the company and gain brand recognition but we continue to grow so we must be doing something right!

Camellia Alise natural skincare products are made for people who struggle with ingrown hairs, razor bumps, acne, scars, and stretch marks. We produce shave creams, body oils, facial wash and cellulite creams and we provide weight loss body wraps and therapeutic facials but we are the best known for our amazing body scrubs which can be used on your face and body even in the bikini zone to eliminate bumps!
Our unisex products are all natural, vegan, and unlike our competitors 100% alcohol-free.
I take great pleasure in our natural products that are handcrafted and both paraben and sulfate free, and always will be. I am proud that everyone in my family, including my toddler, can safely use these healing and enhancing skincare products, and I am proud to offer them to families everywhere!
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Well since the spa just opened last week we cant say for sure what the next move will be but I would love to be on the local store shelves in places like HEB and Wholefoods!!!
I will definitely say my proudest moment with this company was 2 days ago when we opened the doors to our retail store and spa. I am now fully equipped to not only provide the Skincare products people need but also to provide a healing atmosphere for them to come achieve their Skincare and Wellness goals. The close second was winning the $10,000 from Lift Off and having the Mayor buy my products!
For such a small company we have made a great impact thus far and we are only getting started so our future will be amazing and great things are to come for Camellia Alise Skincare!!!
