Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Samuels.
Matt, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I got started in photography as a freshman in high school while being enrolled in a yearbook and photography class. Once in college, I started to take photography courses and this is what began my love for the craft really grew and ending up giving me the idea to start my own company.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Like most new photographers/first time business owners, my initial struggle was gaining a clientele.

Matt Samuels Photography is a Lifestyle and wedding photographer with a laid back and fun aesthetic based in the Greater Houston Area. As a business I take the most pride in my customer service approach. The ability to connect with each individual I shoot and making them feel as comfortable as possible. What I believe sets me apart from other’s is my desire to capture real people and genuine emotion that can be appreciated after the special moments/connections occur.
