Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Taylor and Denise Utley.
Mia and Denise, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The inspiration behind SlimTightWaist is my sister. In the early 90’s she created her own waist therapy. She used plastic from the cleaners and s simple waist band to keep the plastic intact. She would not exercise without this creation she put together. She slept in it and wore it beneath her clothes every day. During this time, she had three small children all delivered by cesarean section. Her mid/section was flat, you should see her ab muscles and she turned heads when we walking into social gatherings. In the early 90’s surgery wasn’t tending the way it is today. My sister was the one who had the key to a flat, attractive stomach. My sister proved waist training works before it became a trend.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being able to convenience people of your vision isn’t easy. They don’t see what you see or feel your passion. The level of quality I insist upon isn’t easy, some people want to take short cut, we can’t allow this at slim tight waist. I can’t allow my vision to be change my vision to cut cost. I want my product to be my vision, this will set us apart and create a Demand that will set us apart from others.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Slim Tight Waist, – what should we know?
We sell superior waist training garments. I’ve designed a vest version and our new product is the ‘MIA peep-ABooty. It’s a 3 in 1 garment that lifts derrière shrinks thighs, flattens stomach and gives you that fabulous ‘inner thighs gap like lady Bey! I’ve created a fruit detox tea that’s fruity, it comes with dried fruit and crystallized honey. I’ve changed the way customers view detoxing so it’s no longer cumbersome. It’s an excellent addition to our product line. It’s Beneficial and cleans your system, lose weight, feel great on the inside, look great on the outside. While enjoying our amazing variety of fruit flavors. Tea products.
I’m most proud of the tremendous amount of growth that we have achieved in a small period of time. Slim tight is a brand that people have grown to love and trust, we make a quality product and we stand behind our garments. We’re dedicated to assisting everyone with they’re weight loss and fitness goals.
What sets us apart from similar companies is CS, creating new products, in an effort to show our customers how much they mean to use our package presentation fashionably stands out, even the delivery or shipping company will never forget our packaging design. We are trendsetters in this industry.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Quality characteristics that are critical for the success of any business in my opinion, Knowing my strengths and weaknesses all the things I’m great at. Things I’m not good at I seek counsel from others. It’s always good to seek wise counsel and know where you need help. Determination and drive is imperative; I’m not a quitter and I’ll never give up. It’s not about getting a sale it’s about maintaining a customer.
