Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Cantu.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Michael. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Solitude Endeavor was created by its founding members, Jose & Michael, over a decade ago, and has been able to grow into a band that continually pushes its own limits.
Since its inception, Solitude Endeavor has evolved in terms of talent and style. All while striving for growth and success, the band has been able to create a unique sound that can be appreciated by casual and hardcore fans of musical styles such as Alternative, Progressive, Metal, Classic and Hard Rock.
Solitude Endeavor will continue to release ground-breaking music with no end in sight in hopes of reaching out to everyone and anyone who appreciates art and music, alike.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Through changes in our personal lives and financial obligations we always make it work. We do have our fights and disagreements but when we hit the stage, it all goes away, I guess you can say it’s like makeup sex? Bottom line is we have a vision and will do everything in our power to pursue it.
Solitude Endeavor – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Over the ten years that we have exposed our music to the public, we have not only had the privilege to share our love for music but also tell our stories and personal experiences. Our music is a reflection of those around us, those who allow us in their space and the many things we have lived. We do not restrict our lyrics, music or talents; we mean what we play in every note and every lyric.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
As a band, we are proud to have recorded our first self titled album at Orb Studios, which is operated by Matt Noveskey and C.B. Hudson of Blue October and also recorded singles “Consumed” and “Hush” at Up/Down Recording Studios, which is operated by Justin Furstenfeld, the lead singer of Blue October.
