Today we’d like to introduce you to Lilly Aviana.
Lilly, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up on the northside of Houston, TX, near Greenspoint. My whole life, my momma, had us listening to all types of music. From BB King to Parliament to Led Zeppelin, no genre went ignored. My family was musically inclined. My tios sang and played instruments while my tias sang alongside harmonizing. My momma was a singer and a dancer in the Moody Blues. Needless to say, being around all of this molded me into who I became. I knew from a very young age that music was my purpose and my passion. No one could take that from me and I was only four. The goal still hasn’t changed.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Of course, no life goes unscathed. Everyone goes through experiences that shape the way they think, who they are. I’m not very open to talking about my personal life because those struggles are my own to share when I’m ready. I never liked people all up in my business, lol. Maybe we’ll save that for the biopic.
Can you give our readers some background on your music?
I’m a singer/songwriter. I specialize in songwriting, singing and being too empathetic. So, really. I’m known for talkin’ shit and Sangin’ my ass off. I’m very proud of how far I’ve come these past two years. It’s been a long road trying to accomplish a career in entertainment but its been treating me good.
I’m just a soul singer and song writer who stays in her lane and creates from the heart. i’m here to heal. I believe that every individual is unique. I don’t like to compare peaches to apples. You can have a million soul singers, but every soul sounds different and thats what sets everyone apart. At the end of the day, what we bring to the table is what counts. What we do for others and the impact we have on others is important. I just stay in my lane, mind my business and do my thang.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
