Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicholas Breaux.
Nicholas, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was introduced to photography through a close friend. He purchase a camera and was using it as a family camera. Taking pictures of his family on vacation and such. He ran the idea of me purchasing one for my family and I did as so. My first camera I purchase was a canon t6. I grew more interested in photography the more I took pictures. I started to create different theme photoshoots with my wife and kids. We would schedule a day out the week and just dedicate that day to taking pictures. I would take those picture that we taken and post them social media. Doing that my friends and followers grew an interest in my photography service. So I started doing paid photoshoots not really knowing what I was doing. Knowing that I wasn’t familiar with photography, I started going photography workshops. I set a goal that I would do two photoshoots every week. Even if the photoshoot wasn’t a paid photoshoot, I did it. So with every photoshoot the goal was just to get better. Now three years later I don’t regret it. I consider my first year In photography my learning year. With ever year get better and better.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been smooth for the most part. In my beginning stage, I was learning off trial and error. That can be a good thing and a bad thing. Lucky for me it was a good thing.
Please tell us about Breaux Moments Photography.
I am very passionate in what I create in photography. I feel its more than just a push of a button and taking a photograph. You are giving me a moment of your life and I’m creating a memory that lasts forever.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
In 1998, my little baseball team played in the little league worlds series and won 3rd places. We place 3rd out of a hundred-plus baseball team around the United States.
