Meet Nicky Gomez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicky Gomez.

Nicky, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I began my career in Real Estate in Aug 2015, two months after my youngest son left for college. I knew I would have to jump right in and make things happen for my business right away. I was leaving a guaranteed paid position with benefits and the comforts of knowing that each month money was coming in to support my family, and I was leaving it for a career in a very shifting and unsure market called Real Estate. I always knew that I wanted to work for my self and have my own name on the front door, but having a family and us raising two boys in the unsure Oil & Gas market, I needed to stay with a company with security. So when I had the chance I dove right in and haven’t looked back.

In 2016, my first year as a Realtor I received The Keller Williams The Woodlands and Magnolia Rookie of The Year Award, I was also a member of the ALC (Agency Leadership Council) in 2017 I increased by Business by an additional 2MM in Volume, and in 2018 I was Ranked #1 in Units Sold as an Individual Agent at KW The Woodlands and Magnolia, as well as achieved my Goal of over 15MM in Closed Sold Volume. I have built my business on Relationships, Open Houses, & Referrals. From true friendships with my clients, so much that usually once we have sold their home we all have withdraws from talking with each other so much. This Aug I celebrated four Years in Real Estate and I feel beyond Grateful and Honored for all the support I have received from all my Family, Clients, and Friends, 2019 has been a blessing and we have been so lucky to be able to help support charities, families, and our community because of my business. Being able to give more and spend more time with my family is another reason I went into RealEstate, I love giving where I can and Now I can. #Givewhereyoulive has been my tag for the last three years, and I hope to continue to be successful in my business so that I can continue to give.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, Real Estate can be a roller coaster ride and staying strapped in for the up and downshifts is so important. I stay educated on the market and changes in our economy at all times. I also say it’s like in the Movie Parent Home when the Grandmother starts talking about the Roller Coaster and how is makes you sick and all the ups and downs and ups and downs but at the ends it’s an Amazing Ride. You learn so much with every relationship you build.

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about you and your career so far?
Nicky Gomez Real Estate Group (Broker is Keller Williams Realty The Woodlands) Real Estate (Residential)

I’m most proud of accomplishing the goals I have set for my self each year since I have started in the industry. I’m mostly known for building over 94% of my business from meeting families at Open Houses (I teach classes at our office from time to time on how to be successful at Open Houses).

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I’M ME, I truly always I’m my self, I love meeting new people and always want to see people smiling. I’m the one who is always waving hi to strangers, I never want my business to be a transaction, I treat every single client the same, Relationships are so important to me.
