Today we’d like to introduce you to Philicia Jones.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I am the owner of Top Notch Global Enterprises, where our main goal is helping individuals choose a career and small business owners get to the next level in business. We began in Houston 2012 offering turnkey services in business consulting and media production. I am a self-taught entrepreneur and have had the opportunity to travel to the US on business. In 2014, while working on a contract in Greenville, SC, I was introduced to the Arise platform where my business could offer training and job placement to individuals looking to work from home. I, of course, said yes! While developing our work from home division, I also expanded our media division into Atlanta, South Carolina & Charlotte. Covering actors, artists and businesses.
At the end of 2015, I returned home to Houston and have focused on building the Top Notch Brand. I am blessed to be able to have a business where I am doing what I love and not just what makes me money. I continue to strive to reach business goals daily because I know, There will always be a Reason why we Should Not make sacrifices to invest in ourselves and our careers but never allow those reasons to stop you because the reward is far greater than the struggle.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say becoming a business owner has been an experience. Definitely, not easy. At one time, It even seemed as though I was losing everything. But, I never wanted to give up, I always knew, vision plus hard work & God equaled goals conquered.
One of the hardest times, was when I had a heart attack and was diagnosed with cardiovascular heart disease. Gratefully, I have wonderful friends and family who surrounds me and helps me get better daily. I am working on my health with a great doctor and medical staff and each day I get stronger.
Each struggle & points of success, has taught me something about myself and life. Always be prepared before opening the doors so that you can face the hurdles that all new businesses face. So, No matter the bumps on the road, I wouldn’t take a different route.

What sets me apart from others is my willingness to help individuals succeed and my genuine love for the work I do. It is not just a business to me. I feel our services help change the lives of individuals and businesses who thought there was no other route to reach success. We show them, there are many. All things are possible to those who believe.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We are gearing up for 2020 to be able to have a facility for applicants, agents and businesses needing customer service training for their employees. Our onsite location will offer the opportunity to register, enroll and train to work from home. We will also offer customer training classes for businesses wanting to send their employees to outside training classes. We have other plans still in motion that we can’t share quite yet. However, definitely be on the lookout for all things Top Notch Global next year.
