Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachal Smith.
Rachal, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Plnm (plat-nuhm) is an African American designer lifestyle brand specializing in loungewear, home/travel accessories, and skincare. We are founded and managed by the mother-daughter duo Rachal & Spirit Smith. The vision was formed in 2019 and founded in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic. We started as unsatisfied customers that desired to bridge the gap between quality products and the client experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting off we took a completely different direction until we found our ideal clients and Orders had arrived late or not at all, molded, in correct. We get shadowbanned on instagram sometimes. And Rachal works a 9-5 full time so I can’t always make different events. Also finding more markets that shop.
