Thanks for sharing your story with us Ramzey. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started in college when I saw how renting a dorm room and student housing was costing me most of my student loan money. I was thinking about how I should plan to buy a house as soon as I start a job after graduation. Luckily in 2006, I found a little cute one-bedroom condo for $50,000 and voila I was a homeowner, the feeling of owning my property and being my own landlord was satisfying because I was paying rent to myself and gaining equity on my home. For four years after, I was looking for rental properties because I wanted to become a landlord myself. Luckily, I had a great realtor who taught me everything about homeownership. He was very patient with me and helped me see all aspects of the process, Over the years, I had bought and sold several houses, learned from the experience, read lots of books and watched HGTV 🙂
Since I love real estate and love to blabber about it all the time, I decided to become a realtor and help people find their dream homes. Several years later, my customer base expanded and I had the pleasure of seeing my clients’ joy when they get the keys to their houses.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I did have some bumps and some were major but tackled them head-on and learned from them. Luckily, I have a great network that I work with and my broker is a great mentor. Some of the struggles were false information from sellers and rare instances like encroachments. I always urge my clients to have an option period to do the due diligence and hire an experienced inspector. I, of course, will help with the process and refer an inspector.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Playing soccer and biking outside with my neighbors. My house, growing up, was on a culdesac and there were empty lots in our neighborhood which we utilized to play soccer and baseball. Every day after school, I would do my homework and then go outside to play.
