Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Gonzalez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ricardo. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started this career path at the young age of 19 years old. At that time, I was a college student and working full time while also a father of a beautiful 1 1/2-year-old boy. I knew I wanted to do something more with my life instead of the regular corporate job. With my motivation and determination to succeed I dove head first into real estate and never looked back. I worked a lot of hours in the beginning until I finally discovered the right way to do business.
I credit my amazing wife and real estate coaches for growing to where I am today. I truly enjoy doing what I do! My clients are able to see that I genuinely care and this has enabled me to work mainly off referrals.
My team currently consists of two full-time assistants, Christina Cortez is my Transaction Coordinator and Autumn Casey is my Listing and Marketing Coordinator. I also have two licensed sales associates, Steve Callander and Scott Fernandez and they represent buyers and sellers like myself.
We enjoy working together and hitting our goals while having a fun, energetic work environment!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There were plenty of struggles and bumps along the road! Mainly because I was working harder and not smarter as many people like to say but it is so true. I was working so many hours and doing everything by myself in the first few years that many felt I was going to soon “burn” out.
I had to overcome the fear of hiring as well as figuring out how to find and develop the talent around me by creating a team that wanted to take care of my clients the same way I did. Once I hired my first full-time assistant I was able to see my numbers not only grow but my service improved too. With selling real estate there are so many aspects to a transaction and having the team support me around me has been a game changer to my business.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with The RG Team with RE/MAX – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I’m a real estate team leader with RE/MAX The Woodlands & Spring and specialize in residential sales whether it be buying, selling or leasing.
I’ve worked with RE/MAX since 2007 and joined them because I wanted to be connected to the biggest brand in our marketplace. As well as be part of the brokerage that most consumers recognized as the leading real estate company. Since joining them I developed THE RG TEAM. Which consists of me and my two sales associates and two support staff.
I pride myself on being not just any realtor but a realtor that knows how to really negotiate and save my clients thousands along the way! That is what I truly believe sets me apart.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My future plans are to grow our presence in the market we are in but I do not see growing my numbers as a top priority. My top priority is to still give the best service possible and with that, the numbers will grow organically.
Besides that, I see myself one day opening my own brokerage but for the time being, I am still focused on building my team only.
