Today we’d like to introduce you to Sherrie Jackson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The idea of being a Realtor was given to me by my father when I dropped from being a full-time college student to a part-time college student after my academic advisor signed me up for classes I needed prerequisites for. I was required to drop over half of my classes, so in short, I took my father’s advice and used the additional time to study real estate. I received my license to sell real estate and absolutely fell in love with the industry; I did well and nearly 20 years later, I am still here today as owner and broker of Umbrella Realty. Although I did earn my BS in Psychology, I am still just as excited about the real estate industry as I was just starting as a new Realtor. The knowledge and experience that I have gained over the years fuels my eagerness to help those in need of my services even more. In addition to selling real estate, I hold a license to originate home loans, I am a notary signing agent, and property tax arbitrator.
I am wife to Jerry Jackson whom I’ve known since the 5th grade… yeah, I know and mother of four boys. My husband and I have 2 other companies Cash Property Couple (a real estate investment firm) and Gearbox Transportation.
My family and I are native Houstonians.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The real estate industry evolves and changes but that is not the challenging part. Staying focused on my position and mindset in real estate when the waves are low. Knowing how and when to stride in the real estate industry regardless of what shiny new career trend may come along. One thing I know, being loyal to all things in real estate always pay at the end. Real Estate has been here since the beginning of time and still is.

Umbrella Realty is a full-service boutique Real Estate firm that is eager to show our ability to compete with larger firms. We take extreme pride in the culture of our business, which is centered on customer service and professionalism. What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of my proudest moments in business is when I became owner and broker of Umbrella Realty. However, every time I help my clients achieve their real estate goals and receive great feedback from them, I have a proud moment in business. Here are a couple of recent testimonials:
