Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Anderson.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Stacy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
As a busy wife and mom, I don’t have a lot of time for putting together meals, parties, or get togethers with friends, but I still want to do them. That’s where the idea for the Hurried Hostess came from. The Hurried Hostess blog is for the woman who wants to have it all, but is short on time. I feature easy recipes, DIY craft projects, product reviews, and home entertaining ideas you can pull off in a snap!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A lack of time is always an issue when starting a new venture. But having a blog that features recipes that I was already making my family for dinner allowed me to get double duty out of what I was already doing. Feeding my family, sharing my knowledge with others, and inspiring women everywhere to try something new – it couldn’t be a more perfect fit.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Hurried Hostess – what should we know?
When you share a meal together with someone else, it’s an intimate situation. You’re giving them your undivided attention for an hour or so and pouring your hearts out to one another. Secrets are shared. Dreams are dreamt out loud. Plans are made. It’s kind of an amazing thing. On the Hurried Hostess blog, you’ll find ways to create an elegant dinner table design, a delicious meal everyone will love, and find out how to not stress yourself doing it all!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think my honesty through it all has been the most beneficial for my business. If I receive a meal box subscription and it requires dirtying every dish in the kitchen, I’m going to let you know about it! If a recipe started off great and then went awry somewhere, I’ll let you know that too, so you can learn from my mistakes. I’m a real person. I’m a wife. I’m a mom. I’m just like so many women out there who want to step up their game occasionally and have fun showing off their skills to their friends.
