Some companies measure their experience in years. We measure ours by generations. Olshan Foundation Repair was started in Houston way back in 1933. In the 1960’s, Olshan became the first foundation repair company to receive VA & FHA approval for the use of an emerging foundation repair method now known as the bell bottom pier.
In 1989, the company was purchased by Hank and Sandra DeShazer. Although the bell bottom pier was innovative for its time back in the 60’s, in 1993 Olshan was instrumental in the development of a new, more effective technology, the patented Cable Lock foundation repair system.
This new system allowed Olshan to repair customer’s homes in days rather than weeks. It was also far less disruptive on customer’s lives and homes compared to other methods. The introduction of the Cable Lock system served a springboard for Olshan’s growth locally here in Houston, and eventually into other markets across the US.
Since 1933, our reputation for integrity, honesty, quality craftsmanship and setting the standards in home structural repair services has always been our legacy. We have worked on virtually every kind of foundation, for families with all different types of needs and we’ve learned a lot about both. We know that your home is your most valuable asset. Since our inception in 1933, Olshan Foundation Repair has been blessed with quality referrals from previous customers that have helped us prosper through the economic upturns and downturns over the past 8 decades.
