T.J., we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started making my beard products about 7 years ago because I use to get really bad hair bumps on the left side of my face when I shaved. Someone recommended for me to get hair laser removal to thin the hair on my face to eliminate the hair from curling under the skin cause those ugly bumps. So, I got hair laser removal on my entire face except for the goatee… My beard didn’t grow back until almost two years later. But when it did grow back, it was very patchy. So, then I created Major Beard Goals Oil and started using it. Three months later, my beard started growing back thicker and fuller. That’s where it all started…
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It defiantly hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting a business was challenging for me, especially all by myself. From perfecting my products, managing my family duties to doing all the research on how to successfully run an online business was very stressful. I just buckled down and kept on going no matter what. Whatever it takes to reach “My Major Goals” is the moto. Major Beard Goals is more than just beard products, it’s a Major lifestyle!
We’ve been impressed with Major Cosmetics, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the CEO/Founder of Major Cosmetics LLC, a company that will have multiple lines of different cosmetic products. What were you like growing up?
I grew in Fulshear Texas which is a small country town about 45 minutes West of Houston. I was always outside playing some type of sport or riding my bike. I really enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids and helping my grandpa look after the animals on our land. Another passion of mine is music. I played the drums in the church for years.
