Today we’d like to introduce you to Tashawna Moody.
Hi Tashawna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My best friend and I of 29 years started our income tax office seven years ago (Opulent Tax Pros LLC). We knew that we wanted a better life for our family and kids so we came up with a plan and executed. We did all the research, took some online classes and learned so much about the tax industry months before we started. Our first location was a two-room suite with a waiting area and a kitchen where we both had our own office, we were so excited to start our company. Our first year up and running it was just the two of us, we had a great first year learned a lot of does and don’ts and was able to correct them by year two. By our second year, we started to bring on close friends and families which partnered with LaTravia and I as co-owners of our company. We learned a lot and decided to extend that offer to the public, which has been one of our best business decision ever. By year three we had 26 partners/ co-owners of Opulent Tax Pros, and we were stoked. We never imagined our company growing so quickly, I mean it’s like it happened overnight! Each year we grew larger and larger and have continued to change so many people’s lives. I mean, honestly who would thought that things would turn out the way they did. We never doubted ourselves but the way our company took off and the time we’ve been in business has been mind-blowing. We are definitely thankful for the highs, the lows and everything the tax industry comes with. We are here to stay, Opulent Tax Pros LLC will be a household name and we have a billion-dollar motive.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I won’t say the road has been smooth or bumpy, each year we face new challenges we never complain we just fix them as needed. LaTravia and I work great together as a team and as business partners. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to do business with. Just call us the dynamic duo!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Our company allows you to partner with us 2-3 years and you basically learn the game. One of our newest slogans is we give you the 🔑 key to the game! After your partnership contract is up you can branch off and start your own tax preparation company up and put everything you’ve learned into your own company. We have literally had over 46 partners at one time and now, at least 15-20 of them have their own income tax company up and running! Most people probably would think that’s insane, don’t they become your competition now? What sets us apart from others is we believe what’s for us is for us, LaTravia and I live by this and it’s in our daily business prayers. We’ve watched our company change people’s lives in a year’s time or less that makes us happy, Our name and brand speak for it self, we believe in leadership, motivation, women empowerment and so much more. When you leave us, you won’t leave the way you came, we take pride in what we stand for and do.
