Meet Tiffani Dilworth of Pristine Advancements

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffani Dilworth.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
As a woman who experienced sexual assault throughout high school, 2 attempted rapes and 1 attempted kidnapping in college, to entering a 2-year verbally abusive relationship followed by several toxic relationships, I clung to the hope for a better future. It was merely impossible to walk away without scars. You may have heard of some the scars, panic attacks, sleepless nights, depression, mistrust towards other, flashbacks…

Despite the scars, I still had hope. During my healing process, I experienced walking depression. Do you know the feeling? Waking up in the morning, barely able to function but still going to work. Putting on a fake smile but deep down inside feeling shattered. Using every ounce of energy to hold those shattered pieces together so you don’t break down in public, only to go home and fall apart.

I wanted to heal, but there were many scattered pieces. I didn’t know where to start.

Then I remembered what I was taught as a child, forgiveness. As a 25-year-old broken hearted girl, I wrote down the people who I thought was responsible for my sexual assault and forgave them. Yes, I forgave them. Granted, I had to forgive a few times over the years, but I knew I had to forgive in order to heal.

God held my hand as I walked through anxiety. He reminded me many times that He did not give me the Spirit of fear, but of Power, Love, and a Sound Mind. Slowly, the walking depression melted away and I was filled with unspeakable joy and peace.

Sexual trauma and abusive relationships can bring chaos and confusion. It can deceive us into thinking we are unlovable, unworthy, and unfixable. Recognizing how valuable we are to God destroys those deceitful lies. In God, there is always hope. According to Jeremiah 29:11, He wants the best for us, not evil. In Psalm 139:14, David reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. No matter where we are in our healing journey, God is on our side and there is always hope in reaching a healed and peaceful future.

Once healing through the impact of trauma and reaching a place of joy and peace, I’m was able to support others in their healing process by starting my own private practice called Pristine Advancements.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve started multiple businesses throughout the years. It was a challenge to let some of them go, but I had to let go in order to move forward.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I received my Master’s in Community Counseling from Oklahoma State University and had the opportunity to live and work in DC and Baltimore, MD for several years. Since moving to Texas in 2021, I’ve opened my own private practice, Pristine Advancement. Pristine Advancements provides telehealth services to support adults who have a desire to have a mentally and emotionally stable life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I specialize in grief, anxiety, and trauma. What’s unique about the services is that I not only provide individual therapy, I also go into the community to provide psychoeducation to groups, including churches, youth, college students, business offices, and many more local organizations who seek support after experiencing a loss and/or to provide sexual assault education.

The key things to know about Pristine Advancements is that I provide telehealth services to adults who are seeking assistance in anxiety, grief, sexual trauma, religious trauma, emotional regulation, and stress management.

By providing a safe space, we work together to deepen self-awareness while helping you gain insight on ways to expand your coping skills to live an emotionally and mentally healthier life. I also provide services to groups within the community who’ve experienced a loss and share concrete tools to help them navigate through their grief and groups who have a desire to learn more about sexual assault and how to navigate its impact.

I’ve also created Managing My Grief Workshops and Managing My Grief Podcast where grief and loss are discussed and explored. As a published author of the books Types of Grief and 11 Tools to help manage the aftermath of Trauma, I strive to provide support to people who are in need of healing after a loss and/or experiencing sexual trauma.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Tenacity, patience, and a strong desire to learn from the best are the key characteristics that have led me to reach my current level of success.
