Tears of Joy Services was founded in January 2018. It all started as a journal entry 4 years ago, I’ve always wanted to mentor young girls in my community. I had been praying to ask God to order my steps and in January 2018 he directed me to form a Non-Profit Organization!! While being obedient to God, so many doors has opened for Tears of Joy Services in Houston !! I quit my corporate job, March 30 (Good Friday) to get the word out about Tears of Joy mentoring program. Our program provides mentoring services, we teach social skills, leadership skills, and so much more to young girls ages 10-18.
Our goal is to provide the M.E.E. Program to as many young ladies as possible, the M.E.E. stands for Mentor, Encourage, and Empower. I must say in so little time, a lot of opportunities has been sent our way. During the week, Tears of Joy Services mentor young girls at the S.H.A.P.E. Community Center as well as the Buckner Hope Center ranging from ages 10-16. On Saturdays, we have our own mentoring program for young girls from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the brand new Alice McKean Young Library. My goal is to mentor, encourage, and empower as many young girls as possible !!

Yes, so far it has been a smooth road.
Tears of Joy Services in Houston – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Tears of Joy Services is a Non Profit organization with one goal !! And that goal is to mentor our youth girls while teaching leadership skills and social skills to them.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment is knowing that our weekly mentoring sessions are touching these young girls lives in a positive way!
