Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Bryant.
Victoria, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
We have been in the home care business for over 17 years serving families of the elderly in the Houston Metroplex area. This personal care home is breathe out of our love for the elderly and we want them to age in a home like setting with that extra care and love. So often there is a stigma with having a care home in a neighborhood, but we feel that’s the best place to age; close to family, close friends, and in a neighborhood we are familiar.
Our care home is filled with amenities and services with around the clock caregivers who take care of all the small things so our residents can retire and do what they want. This home-like setting is preferred over institutional living where one is just a number. Services include delicious, homemade meals, snacks, household chores, games, activities, personal care, medication management, staff to coordinate with other healthcare professionals, and much more. Services come out to see to the residents like podiatry, dental, and beauticians.
The home is an upscale home with high-end finishes. More importantly, trained staff, and led by a pharmacist of over 20 years experienced in the home care business and elder care space. We love what we do and while we feel it’s the residents and their stories are what brings joy and laughter to our community.
Has it been a smooth road?
Creating a dream and paving the path for others to believe and trust in you is never a smooth road. Obstacles are what defines how badly we want to fulfill this vision. Tenacity and grit are what we need to realize our dreams. We were faced with neighborhood challenges, licensing challenges and city ordinances that almost hindered this dream. We continue to pray through, be excited and push through all obstacles. I have even had a threat from a neighbor that was way to ugly to our idea. But each of us need to realize that we too shall age, we too do not dream to live in a nursing home and we too want to be at home and live out our life. We have to realize as neighbors that it’s better to live next to an elderly person who has nothing but stories to tell us than next to a neighbor that parties and risk having excessive neighborhood disturbances.
We have served the neighborhood well. We have taken care of law enforcement families so they do not have to worry about mom and dad while they serve our city. We have taken care of families where adult children are still working and cannot be there around the clock to care for dad. We have provided a safe and loving environment where local families can come visit and not have to put mom in an institution 25 miles away. We have comforted families that are overwhelmed with caregiving duties and have family duties of their own. We know what we have is gold and we have to pay it forward.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Ambassadors Assisted Living – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our city’s diversity. I love that our city innovates to enrich the lives of each person. You can be as involved as you’d like and there are activities for every age group.
I do wish we had more green space, bike trails and a subway that extends out to the suburbs.
