Today we’d like to introduce you to Dexter Walker.
Hi Dexter, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started my acting career with little to no experience. Started creating my own content for the world to see on social media and quickly formed a huge fan base. Over time I took the time to perfect my craft by studying and reading many scripts from my favorite tv shows/movie.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It’s never easy when you’re reaching for success, but that’s life. There were a few struggles before I got to where I am now. Growing up in foster care prevented me from starting my career earlier. I started doubting myself a lot thinking it was impossible to even have a successful story.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actor/motivational influencer. I’ve been doing it for about 6 years now and let me tell you, it’s been a long ride and I’m enjoying it as well. I was born to be a creative person. My mother molded that in my head when I was younger. She called me her star child.
The journey has been tough, but I’m proud of myself because of the mindset I have. One of the main things that set me apart from others, is not letting my past affect the path I’m on now.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
I don’t believe in luck. I believe in faith. Faith plays a huge role in my life. I’ve been able to reach a certain amount of success off of faith.
