Hi Jasmine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi everyone my name is Jasmine I am the CEO of Simply Self love a business with a message a reminder that you are loved, and to show yourself more love. We want our business to be an advocate a message that encourages you to have self love. We are happy to say we are doing just that our customers tell us, ”Thank you for this message”, or “I needed that”. That’s it; this is why we opened our business to put smiles on people’s faces, to be a word of encouragement to all. I wouldn’t have been able to do this without God and the love and support of my parents. My mom, my number one supporter. And my dad, who gave me the opportunity to open my business, my sisters who attend every pop-up market with me. And my loving friends and supporters. I am truly so blessed and grateful.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I am currently a college student working to earn my Bachelor’s Degree. Trying to balance school and my business can be quite a struggle. Sometimes having to stay awake until 3 in the morning to try to finish orders or working on homework can be draining and stressful. I am working and learning on balancing it all.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
We are an online business that sells apparel and other accessories. We attend pop up’s monthly in downtown Houston where we get to meet so many of our customers. We started our business August of the year 2022 and we are so happy to say we are growing! Our message is being shared and is encouraging others. We hope to keep growing and sharing our message.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Three important qualities to my success is dedication, love, and persistence.
