Rising Stars: Meet Tori Denise

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tori Denise.

Hi Tori, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Moving to Atlanta, GA with hopes on becoming a professional dancer to now finding myself out in Texas branching out is wild. Honestly, I don’t even know where to start. I’ve been on my own since I was 20 years old. I had my son in September of 2013 and December of 2013, my mom passed away. That’s when I felt my feet had been on go and never hit stop. Moving to Atlanta with just $1000 and dream was probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done. Yet, it humbled me. That’s when I realized everything I wanted going forward I would have to work harder than most because I didn’t have the luxury of starting over and going back home. I trained for about three years in Atlanta, I met some of the best people, however, when Covid hit, that’s when life changed again for me. Losing my dad two weeks before my birthday was the ultimate blow. I felt empty, I felt like I needed something better. Life as a dancer in Atlanta wasn’t paying the bills and at the time, my job corporate job was giving me the green light to move to my dream state so I took it. From Austin to Dallas, From Dallas to Houston. Finding myself homeless in under two months with no plan instantly changed my viewpoint. I guess you can say that’s when I started grinding. I told myself if this was the life you wanted cool sit there, but if you want a better life for you and K and truly want to push yourself! Put your foot on the gas and become the influencer you want to become!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t, I’ve never been one to share my life openly, however, I told myself okay if this is something you want then you may have to put yourself in uncomfortable situations. Posting, being comfortable with the camera in your face, etc. I’ve had my channel since 2008 and just now getting recognition and consistency.

I already had a HUGE following as a professional dancer in Atlanta for 4yrs so I used that to my advantage. I went GHOST for about two years legit, when it came to posting. When IG introduced the reels, being honest it was annoying, however until I posted the “Apartment Hunting Vlog” Reaching over 3.3k! Might not seem much to y’all but because of THAT ONE POST

Monetize (Via IG) 8/2 ✅
Most people think it’s easy when they hear money is now involved, and I’ll be honest, I was people! Lol Oh but Instagram definitely humbled me and made me work!
Since then, I’ve went from 7k to 12.3K Following on IG (not my intent, idc about that), slowly building both my YouTube And TikTok platform, Interviews with both Voyage HTX & DTX, getting the green light as a Amazon & Pinterest Creator partner, and now starting to see my hard work paying off. To receive that email and just responding thinking “ehh whatever,” but turn around with a whole contract and NDA response back after some extra meetings etc (I READ IT ALL) 😂. Cant lie I could cry but I’m grateful and blessed!!! This is ONLY the beginning, don’t be shocked when you see me on one of your favorite Websites, etc.

Consistency and not giving up  is the first step, but believing in myself and trusting God is the glue!!! Time to lock in and continue to build this YouTube, whoever is for me will see me positively

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My YouTube content is about Family| Lifestyle | VLog Not wanting to solely be about just one thing, I decided to just be myself. I talk about my journey, my life as a single mom and also an inside look on my relationship. It’s always a vibe there. I’m organic and genuinely myself!
