Today we’d like to introduce you to Wrecka Kalie Hayes.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Wrecka, born in New Iberia, Louisiana, started freestyling at the age of 13 years old. A few years later, eager to learn the music business. After being mentored by a close friend and learned most of the basics, you need to start distributing and publishing his own music. He found his own sound, “Hip-Hop Blues.” He was inspired by a lot of artists he grew up listening to. He adds pain and soul to his music. Wrecka will be released his debut album “Wrecktified” in December of 2020 on streaming digital outlets.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Some of the struggles I’ve had to deal with is coming up in a rough environment, not many resources in Louisiana. Relocated to Houston to pursue my dream. But I would have to say surrounding myself with people who didn’t believe in my dream nor myself. Coming from where I’m from, you have to do whatever it takes to survive. Nobody is going to give you anything, so you have to have to have survival skills. Also dealt with some depression along the way dew to a few difficult situations I was put in.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a rapper that goes by the name of Wrecka, aka Kali Hayes I’ve adopted my own sound witch I call hip-hop bluez. That consists of soul pain. One of the things I specialize in is building hooks for songs. That comes to me quite natural in no time at all I can put a song together really quick and it jam. I’m known for my hooks witch my voice is very unique, being it’s a deep tone and I use it singing in a way a lot of people cant of course a deep toned singer isn’t always easy to find. The thing I’m most proud of is making all of this happened even when I was counted out. Along with my producer Supa Mario believing in me, we made everything that’s happening and coming possible. One of the things that set me apart from other artist is my attitude my drive and my work ethic. I chose to be myself no matter what the trends are or what’s going viral or hot that’s what makes me unique, being me.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My producer deserves a lot of credit; he took the time to mold me into a better artist along with my manager Christina they push me a lot come up with marketing ideas and overall just play a big part in the whole process.
