Rising Stars: Meet Yesenia Garcia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yesenia Garcia.

Hi Yesenia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Eden Event Rentals started in 2017. We are a husband and wife duo that love to create and build event props for any special celebration. From florals to stage design, we love bringing our client’s vision to life. It all started with Lester, my business partner and spouse. He was always a volunteer at church for the holiday plays. He was the creative person that would create large props and build different stages the play would require. From Easter to the Christmas pageant, he would create so many insane designs. His talent was undeniable, but I was the one that believed that one day, he could make this his profession.

It was until 2017 that he was hired to create a set of marquee letters for a youth conference. Although a little nervous because he was never paid to do something, he took on the project. Immediately, it became a hit.

With a little bit of confidence, he decided to start taking on more projects and made it into a side hustle. Little did we know, the props we were making became a hit, We quickly got known for marquee letters, and till this day, it is the foundation and stronghold of our business. Word got around that we could build anything custom, and we started to meet event planners and wedding coordinators all over Houston. Meeting them really paved a way for us to grow, even more, They enabled us to build things out of the box, they have challenged us to always bring something different to the event industry, and they taught us to always let our work speak for itself.

We are a pretty young company; we still have so much more to learn, but we do take pride in being a company that will go the extra mile for our clients. We love coming through for them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. Starting a company with your spouse is not for the faint at heart. We both want the same end goal, but we achieve it in different ways. But four years into the business has made things easier.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Eden Event Rentals is definitely known for its marquee letters. They are a classic staple to the events we participate in. We are also recognized for creating things custom. All of our props are built in house by Lester himself. We are very committed to our clients. Our customers know that if they have a last-minute request, we can come through for them.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
We are pretty transparent with our customers. We have been able to establish a bond with each of them. From the beginning, we like to let them know that they can count on us for any crazy project. No limits.
