Today we’d like to introduce you to Amity Hunter.
Amity, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was introduced to the field of Beauty in 1997 at Worthing High School where I entered the Cosmetology program. Having only gained the basic knowledge of cosmetics I decided to travel across the country to Burbank, CA to attend the fabulous Make-up Designory of Los Angeles in the Summer of 1999. M.U.D. has not only helped me discover my new love for beauty, there, I learned how to properly create a character, stage, and wedding Make-up. Upon graduation, I worked for several studio films, weddings, and runway shows, however, I never was able to get Houston out of my blood and moved back to the Longhorn state.
Never giving up on her passion, I was eager to learn more about the skin industry which leads her to later enroll in the Esthetics program at Royal Beauty Career in 2011. As my experience grew, so did my desire. In early 2013, I trained with the global leading eyelash company, Xtreme Lash. I am is currently recognized as an advanced lash stylist and now training others in the art of lashes.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No road to success is easy. With every new year, the industry is growing rapidly and with the grace of God, we have been able to stand strong for five years.

All credit, glory, and honor go to God. Never leaving out my family, friends, clients, and even my naysayers. My family has been my rock and biggest supporters since day one, even when I wanted to walk away they have encouraged me to continue on. My naysayers have been the push and the drive that helps me to believe that I am on the right path. My clients are the ones that give me the greatest gift of all… gossip; because without their referrals, I would not be as successful as I am today. Thank you all and keep referring.
