Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
The journey started when I was a young girl. I had always enjoyed playing dress up and watching court TV shows. My dream was to become a judge so that I could make fair rulings and design colorful robes for women to wear. But, one day, my mom informed me I could unlikely alter the black robes so, I decided to stick with fashion.
During my teen years, I had immersed myself in fashion by collecting magazine, drawing fashion sketches and styling outfits. Fashion for me has always been more than the products, but the way I felt when wearing it. I was an introvert growing up and often teased by my peers at school because they couldn’t understand my vision. However, I never changed my style because of their negative mindset.
My senior year, I made the educational decision to study at the Art Institute of Houston. I learned a lot in the years while attending school at AI and being part of rewarding opportunities such as producing a fashion show, interning at Charming Charlie Corporate office as a Merchant Assistant, building a business plan, and many more amazing things. Currently, I work as a full-time Advertising Coordinator and blog part-time.
Boldnrarity is a blog about traveling to amazing destinations and dressing in style on a realistic budget. I launched B&R last August on Instagram and have plans to expand it even further in 2019. I had been working on brand business concepts a few years earlier and decided to market my brand in steps.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Although, I haven’t been blogging very long my biggest challenge is time management. Balancing everything on my own has been overwhelming. My best action to combat this is staying optimistic.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Boldnrarity – what should we know?
Boldnrarity encompasses who I am as a person. I am bold and rare with my style, attitude, and personality without having to alter my ways based on society. My blog specializes in bringing together like-minded women and men who love fashion and travel but don’t know where to start. My family, friends and social butterflies know me as the go-to person for travel and fashion advice. My style and the way I carry myself stand out. I am quirky and positive toward others and stand up for those who can’t defend themselves.

My loved ones played a part in the foundation of my brand. It was helpful to receive real-time feedback, working with me to capture those Instagram shots, and dealing with my over the top personality. You know who you are and I thank you, so much from the bottom of my heart.
