Meet Rollie Vogues

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rollie Vogues.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
Yes of course! So I’m pretty much a jack of all trades. In high school, or even before that, I got into music and started rapping. I wrote my first songs in middle school and recorded on my built-in mic in my computer and piled up a bunch of songs on CDs that I would burn myself. Fast forward to high school, I started recording at a studio and needed graphics for cover art and such. So I start designing, and from designing, I start photography then onto video and the start of a clothing brand — all in the span of a couple of years. So skip over to present time, I’m now known by my artist name Rollie Vogues, and I do design work and photography full time and also design my brand Superior Style entirely myself. It’s only at the start of 2019 that I quit my full-time job to chase this creative dream of mine of working for myself in a field that I enjoy very much and having more free time. So here I am, still building, still learning, and still enjoying life all while doing what I love, creating.

Please tell us about your art.
So my main focus is graphic design. As far as graphic designing I mostly create things such as logo designs for businesses and entrepreneurs, apparel and merch design for brands and artists, illustrations, advertisements, and social media content, as well as music cover art for musicians.

I also own a clothing brand called Superior Style. It’s a streetwear brand that my wife and I started years back but recently made official, and I’ve been designing everything myself. I love seeing people support the brand and wear our clothes as part of their daily fits. It’s honestly just a dope feeling.

My inspiration basically comes from my passion for creating things. I’ve created music that people can listen to, pictures that people can admire, videos that people can enjoy, and artwork that people find visually attractive.

I just want to create for people and for myself. It’s all original and comes from my own imagination and things that I personally like. That’s really all that matters to me.

What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
I don’t really see any huge challenges that we can’t overcome as artists in my honest opinion. There are always those things with making money off your art, getting credit for your work, or people stealing your art and calling it their own. I’ve dealt with all of these things plus more, but I’ve taught myself how to get around these and have found solutions for them all. If anything, an artist’s biggest challenge is the lack of creativity or inspiration. That’s when you would need to take a step back and chill and think about why you started creating in the first place.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
All of my work is published across all my social media. I actually have 4 Instagram accounts lol I know way too many, but it’s how I separate all of my work.

These are the IG accounts and what they each contain.

@RollieVogues – My personal account with everything from music, pictures, designs, and videos.
@VoguesStudios- All of my design work is posted on here.
@SuperiorStyleHTX- This is the clothing brand’s page.
@Ro.llie- This is my photography page

You can also visit SuperiorHTX.com to actually purchase the clothing and even some collaborations between Vogues Studios and Superior Style as well.

How people can support my craft and businesses other than purchasing clothing is honestly just spreading my name, spreading my work to friends, liking my pictures, anything and it’s all appreciated.
