Aryan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always been very interested in different cultures and languages in general, but especially I have always been fascinated by how language translations are linked to businesses and immigration. I was a refugee during 2001 and 2002, so I became very familiar with immigration process and multiple languages, such as English, Turkish, and Farsi.
I always said when I was growing up I wanted to be an accountant. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the DeVry University and started working as an accountant. But languages and Translation was so addictive, so I kept doing translations. After a while, I figured language services was the best fit for me.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to success is never smooth. Just like with most businesses, there have been struggles. Success comes with a lot of sacrifices. I had to put in lots of hours sometimes up to 16 hours daily/7 days a week to help keep my clients happy and build the client’s base that I have today.
All in all, I have nothing to complain about. I believe that the struggles are what makes a business strong. I do anything necessary to keep my clients happy.

If you had to start over, what would you have done differently?
Well, I majored in accountancy and now I’m working in the linguistics market. I had a lot to learn in the beginning, but I quickly learned what I needed to know to be an effective member of the linguistics team. However, I always felt that if I majored in linguistic, I would have started off with a better foundation. I’m great at what I do, but if I could start over again, I would probably choose to have majored in linguistic.
