Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all started with my grandmother Sylvia… my grandmother was the baker of the family and I just loved to be in the kitchen with her waiting for “the bowl.” I was always amazed at how beautiful the cakes were that she created. When she passed away, my passion for baking was awakened. I didn’t realize it until I decided to make custom treats for a bake sale at work and everyone raved about how good they were!
So, of course, for every bake sale after that everyone was looking to see “What did Ashley make?!” The happiness that I felt from seeing everyone enjoy my desserts was amazing! From the bake sales eventually came coworkers asking me to make cakes for them AND they were willing to pay me for it!
That’s when I knew that I wanted to make a business doing something that I love to do that also brings so much joy to everyone!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been zero struggles, it has been a walk in the park for me. Oh, wait-that’s not how entrepreneurship works! Like many entrepreneurs, I’m a bit introverted. But, it does actually have its’ perks for being a caker.
We tend to be keen listeners and that is a perfect character to have when it comes to dealing with engaged couples. I am able to actively listen to what my clients want to make their day special and deliver the cake of their dreams!

Blissful Delights by Ashley is a custom cake company. I specialize in creating unique wedding cake experiences customized to reflect my client’s style and personality. My clients get the best of both worlds… amazing designs AND amazing taste that is guaranteed to be a true crowd pleaser! No more just admiring a beautiful cake and wondering if it tastes any good. I pride my business in being able to create a signature moment for my clients from their first inquiry, to the anniversaries to come! I work with my engaged couples to be sure that their vision and dreams shine through on their wedding cake. Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Success to me is when I can make my client the HERO of their special day! When I look at pictures from my clients’ event and I see the glowing couple, I know I’ve done my part to bring their dream wedding to life. After all, that’s the point- to help them sweetly on their way to wedded bliss!
