Today we’d like to introduce you to James Gray.
Thanks for sharing your story with us James. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started doing music in 2012. The first show I performed was for the clothing store Sf2 at a night club. After that my first major opening was for Jackie chain tour with & settle 4 Les at legendary Fitzgeralds! I also opened for Amber London & Kanye Artist Cyhi The Prince & my first sold out venue opening performance was for Les 2013 warehouse live before Christmas show. It was crazy! During this time, I drop my first mixtape called “Scew Trilla” since then I’ve been opening up for Gunn Play & slim thug & 2chains.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It’s started out great cause I was new to the music game and I didn’t even have songs out or a mixtape or album. So for me to open up for a major artist starting out was a real Confident Booster to keep going. I only had songs on SoundCloud that I was performing! This was all in 2012 -2013 until I drop my 1st mixtape “Screw Trilla” I start doing a lot of visual as well, met my good friend Dante Castro outta San Antonio as my director, we link up on seven visuals so counting eight that I’m about to drop soon! The struggle Came in 2017 when my mother suddenly passed away! My whole world was upside down for a while, but I know I had to stay consistent Sum how! And I did I pick up photography!

My music and visual set me a part from a lot of Houston Artist & I’m most proud of not quitting And never giving up on my dreams!
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing I enjoy every experience I wouldn’t haven’t know any other way!
