Stanley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I love making music, I’ve always loved music in one form or another. Hip hop & R&B especially. I really just like anything that has good flow & harmony. It was only a matter of time before I started creating my own music and sound soon after that.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to success is usually a rough one and I’m still on that road. I can only learn from every experience I have, the good and especially the bad ones.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m a Producer/Rapper/Singer. All though I’m not the greatest singer it’s my favorite form of expression and usually the first thing that comes to mind when I make a new beat. Like how can I incorporate vocal harmony with a hard beat and yet still cater to my listeners lyrically. I wouldn’t consider my music to be mainstream but that’s what makes it what it is.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
In my eyes success is being able to live comfortably and be happy with my life at the end of the day really just continuing to make music. I use to feel like I didn’t get the recognition I was supposed to but ive learned that not everything happens overnight and like Kamasi Washington said “Be stubborn with your dreams but be flexible with how you get there” I think patience is key in my situation. But execution at the right moment is also crucial. It’s all just timing!
