Today we’d like to introduce you to Josue Zamarron.
Josue, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
ZamCo Directional Drilling & Utility Company was established by three brothers here in the heart of Houston Texas.
When ZamCo directional drilling was established, they set out to change the veteran community. ZamCo’s bylaws were established and set forth that a percentage of profit would be donated quarterly to nonprofit veteran organizations.
ZamCo Directional Drilling plans on continuous growth, not just for the company, but for their partnership with their veteran community.
Has it been a smooth road?
breaking into an industry that is set in its ways was a bit of a struggle. Many companies are hesitant to go with a new contractor because they have been using the same subcontractors, sometimes, they’ve been using the same person for years.
The biggest asset we have is my brother Lucas Zamarron, he has been in this industry for many years, when they see it is him running the work, they are a little more opened. the second biggest asset, is me, being a U.S. Veteran has given us many opportunities.
But none of the work would run as efficiently if we didn’t have our younger brother Jonathan operating the heavy equipment.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with ZamCo Directional Drilling LLC – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
ZamCo performs underground utilities and site work. We specialize in everything from light pole bases to horizontal directional drilling and duct banks in between.
What I am most proud of is the way that we’ve been blessed an have grown within the electrical companies community.
What sets us apart is the amount of time and effort we put into the veteran community. from offering free training to donating a portion of our profit every quarter (per our bylaws) to vet non profits
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that no matter what is happening in the world, or even our own economy in the U.S, Houston continues to prosper and grow.
What I dislike is that that growth comes with more people, more traffic. Trying to navigate through Houston traffic with heavy equipment in our trailers is a bit hard.
