Today we’d like to introduce you to Loushay Davis.
Loushay, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born 25 weeks premature only weighing 1 pound with challenges of epilepsy, cerebral palsy, asthma just to name a few. A little girl with big dreams from Houston heights Texas became a woman with a vision. Despite the many trials, tribulations and tragedies I didn’t let my struggles get me down and achieve success by being a first-generation college graduate at Prairie View A&M and now obtaining a masters in business administration with a concentration in healthcare management in Georgia. I have a passion for serving and giving back to others which I am a therapist for children in special education as well I am a diligent worker in the community and organizations like the dominant and smooth Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. My motto is I came, I saw, I conquered.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been a smooth road. There have been many trials and tribulations including severe depression anxiety and suicide attempt after the death of my beautiful grandmother during my senior year of college in 2018 which was a dark time but by the Grace of God I made it. Despite those challenges, I am continuing to grow and make an impact on the world and lead by example.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan is to work in the hospital as an administrator and continue to serve others. Keep God the head of my life.
