Today we’d like to introduce you to Edward Peterson Jr.
Edward, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started my business back in 2008 after being laid off from AT&T and started my own business in Web Design and Marketing assisting small businesses in the Houston area along with Churches and Non-profit organization. It was then that I knew that there was a need in the marketplace for my services and helping businesses grow in Houston to have a presence and to assist their local community where they do business. Now I have assisted small businesses in other cities across the country to build and grow their network in the area where they do business. Growth is what I teach and train entrepreneurs to become masters of their industry and to assist the local community where they are. It has been exciting and a pleasure to see people from all walks of life grow together in a local community.
Houston is a very diverse city with a lot of talent! My goal is to help each business owner to use their gifts and talents to assist others in the community where they are and build with their customers and other local businesses, that way we all are sharing the same resources and no one is lacking in the community. With technology with have the answers to most common challenges we face, but to grow as a community assisting each other in the marketplace to help people as we help ourselves is a goal of mine to spread this concept across the country! I love what I do and assisting businesses in Houston has been a great opportunity to learn how people are taking their business serious and have a passion to assisting others in the process! That’s what I call Growth from within!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When I started my business after being laid off again from the same company, I decided I need to do something that I can enjoy and grow from, so I looked into web design and marketing. I was taught by my old company this concept on marketing and coming from sales I knew that this would be a good fit for me. It was not easy in the beginning, I have to come up with a name for my business and equipment to run my business. I started talking to business owners who just started their business and asked do they have a website and if so who designed it for them. I collected the names of the local web designers here in Houston and looked at their work. From there, I see I needed to step my game up if I wanted to be on the same level or higher then them. So I have to get software I and I taught myself how to code and us some of the blank templates to design websites. This was a long process and I knew I had to complete it. I had to market my new business and get my name out there it took three months to get my first order and from there I had received more orders, and the rest was history.
Global Touch Enterprise – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business Global Touch Enterprise is a web design and marketing business, assist small businesses across the country to build and grow their network in the area where they do business. I’m known for assisting local businesses in the community to grow their business with the websites I create and the marketing campaigns I put together for them. What I am most proud of is the results that I get for assist a new start-up business to grow their network using the tools and tips I share with them. I’m also proud that I have an internet radio show where entrepreneurs can tune in and listen to tools and tips to grow their network as well. What sets me apart from other web design companies in Houston is that I will go the extra mile to assist my clients and we have a special relationship that I assist them with whatever their needs are. Not just web design but all aspects of their business.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Working for myself and seeing the number of entrepreneurship grow in the Houston area! Being apart of this growth has been a blessing to me that I was able to assist people from all walks of life grow!
