Today we’d like to introduce you to Ijeoma Odumodu and Chioma Osibodu.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ijeoma and Chioma. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Tribe of Dumo was launched in Houston, Texas in 2017 as an African-Inspired Ready to wear Clothing accessory line.“Tribe of Dumo” coined from the designers West African last name “Odumodu”. The brand started with just two sisters working out of their garage. With the time, we started showcasing at fashion shows, hosting our own runway events and pop up shops across the country. We currently have done a total of 87 pop up shops and fashion shows and have a customer subscription list of over 40,000 women.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s absolutely not been an easy journey for us, although it’s been worth it.
As a small and fairly new business, we grew exponentially over the last two years; The demands from our customers to produce and deliver quality products rose with that growth.
We came to learn, like any other business, the ultimate survival and success relies on a firm foundation. By foundation, we mean a team of like-minded people who share the same values and principles as us.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
