Meet Diana Diaz of Dianadhtx in East Side

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Diaz.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Diana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always loved going out to eat to new places and exploring my city and couple years ago my cousin suggested that I should start a blog or an Instagram food page about all the amazing places that I’ve been going to and the delicious food that I shared on my Instagram and Snapchat. Most of the time that I will post food-related pictures, my friends and family will asked me questions about the restaurant and the food. In that time, it made me consider the idea of starting an Instagram food page but I wasn’t sure that was the right thing to do at that time because my life was consumed by work and my studies. I finally decided I wanted to give it a try to see if it was something I enjoyed doing as hobby and it turns out I did since March of this year I post my first picture on Dianadhtx and the feedback I got from friends, family, and other Instagram foodies was amazing. That’s when I discovered that I really enjoy doing this.

Has it been a smooth road?
I won’t say it’s challenging but it has been hard trying to manage my time wisely since I’m trying to finish my degree and school takes a lot of my time. Also learning how to capture the right image to post, it can be difficult sometimes but so worth it. I’m always trying to improve the picture quality of my posts and having engaging content. Like Micheal F. Staley said, “There is no challenge more challenging than the challenge to improve yourself.”

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Dianadhtx – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Dianadhtx is mainly about food and the places I’ve traveled to and I integrated it in my food Instagram page. I like to try new restaurants and enjoy different types of environment that makes each place unique. Houston has a lot to offer and that’s what I would like to show on my Instagram, as well as the places I travel to and give my audience content that will give them a new experience.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love how Houston has a wide variety of diversity and offers a lot of different styles of food and great people to meet and everyone is open to experience different cultures. Also, I love how every neighborhood has something unique to offer. Such as murals and art walls around the city and some amazing coffee shops. I was raised in Houston and I can honestly say it’s an amazing city to explore. Probably, the only thing I dislike about Houston would be the traffic, but that becomes insignificant with everything else that makes this city great.
