Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamika Lamark-Jones.
Tamika, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got into Real Estate because I wanted to transition from being an employee to being self-employed. I knew that it wouldn’t be an easy transition but I am committed to my success. I am passionate about helping people achieve their dream of becoming a homeowner. Also, who doesn’t love going inside some Houston’s most gorgeous homes. I got with a great company, Intero Real Estate, and landed on one of the best teams The Sampson Group has helped me navigate my way to becoming a great sales agent.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Honestly, for me it was a rough start as soon as I got my license, I interviewed with Intero Real Estate Services in April 2018 and in May my mom got sick and I lost my mother in July. I knew my mom wouldn’t want me to stop even though mentally, I wanted to. I have always been pretty strong-willed, motivated and able to persevere through hard times but this was really hard for me. I made the conscious decision to push through and fight like how my mom did and pursue my dream of being a real estate agent and I’m thriving because of my mom.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an independent sales agent with The Sampson Group of Intero Real Estate Services. I am a buyers agent, my specialty is helping first time home buyers achieve the American Dream of Home-ownership. However, I am a real estate agent and can help people in all their real estate needs, renting, buying, or selling, I can help. I am that agent that is compassionate, knowledgeable, and always available to help and I am willing to go that extra mile. Those qualities are what set me apart from other realtors.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Honestly, if I had to start over, I wouldn’t change anything because my experiences have molded and shaped who I am and how I conduct myself as a business owner and independent agent.
